Yeo Dong Yun

The most dynamic and vibrant metal artist in Seoul today, Yeo Dong Yun, takes cues from a Korean concept that translates to “stillness in motion”. Her creativity plays with the distinctive qualities of metal as she masters techniques such as brushing, stamping, and shaping.

Inspired by ‘Jung Jung Dong’ (靜中動) and the Shilla Dynasty’s golden crowns, Yun conveys the ever-evolving essence of existence within the exorable passage of time. It’s observable through the most delicate of tremors, even in stillness.

In this series, Yun represents a tabletop object sculpture that is at once functional and beautifully designed for all occasions.
